This item is missing the front cover and title page. However it is a fscinating piece of country history.

The back of the cover suggests 1930's members of all West Kent WI from Addington to Wrotham have subscribed to this book. Over 100 WI groups have contributed. Probably many of them no longer exist. Subjects covered are  Vegetable fruit and flower gardening, trees and shrubs, rock, rose and herb gardening.Poultry,duck,rabbit keeping, Apiary, manures etc marketing and hints for housewife and gardener. The roses listed as being desireable are names that never appear on todays catalogues. An interesting historical document
